  • Consists of a symbol and a representative slogan (Korean Alps Hadong).
  • The symbol represents Hyeongjebong Peak (1,115m), Samsinbong Peak (1,284m) and Tokkibong Peak (1,534m) in Mt. Jirisan which is Hadong’s guardian mountain. The peaks are equivalent to the so-called “Three Sisters—Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau—in the Alps, Switzerland. Seomjingang River which has enriched Hadong thousands of years was expressed in the traditional, Korean-style black and white painting and the letters were written with a traditional calligraphy font to give a feeling of trust and friendliness.
  • Depending on how you look at it, the image can look like a river running around the mountain or mountain peaks soaring through the clouds. The seal-shaped red logo also represents the strong, future-oriented will of Hadong citizens who all have a blazing sun in their hearts.
  • Like the Jungfrau Railway in Switzerland which was an unimaginable invention, the 『Korean Alps Hadong』 is the philosophy in our determination to achieve unimaginable wonders.
